"Metamorphosis" is a statement piece showcasing a personal journey I’ve captured through color and texture. Measuring 42.5 in x 50.5 in, this large-scale original oil painting is a dive into emotional exploration resulting in a transformative journey to peace. 

When I created Metamorphosis, I wanted to visualize the internal process of finding clarity. As you look at the canvas, you’ll notice a distinct feeling of being underwater and that weightless, immersive moment where the outside world fades away. (Bliss.)

I worked with a complex palette, layering cool blues and teals against sudden, vibrant bursts of orange and red. I applied the oil paint thickly in specific areas, creating a physical topography you can feel with your eyes. These heavy textures catch the light differently throughout the day.
